Visit of Eng. Loganathan Parthipan
Eng. Loganathan Parthipan, a research engineer specializing in Secure Distributed Systems from the UK and an external volunteer advisor for the University Information System project, visited our university on Monday, 30th September 2024, at the request of the Vice-Chancellor.
He delivered a presentation on “Trusted Networks and discussed how trust establishment happens on computer systems” from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the SMART Lecture Hall/FAS. The session was open to all staff and students, with a particular focus on 4th-year Computer Science and IT.
Following the lecture, Eng. Parthipan met with academic staff in the FAS Board Room from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, where he discussed the contents to be included in the curriculum and practical classes related to computer security. The discussion focused on enhancing the current coursework to better prepare students for real-world challenges in secure distributed systems and trusted networks.
