Program Objective
1. Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Computing/Bachelor of Science Honours in Computer Science:
The primary objective of the Applied Mathematics and Computing degree is to provide students with the skills to do problem-solving in the technical fields that require skills in both analytical mathematics and computer science. The main objective of the honours degree programme in computer science is to provide students with the foundations that support both a successful career path in computing and appropriate qualifications for further degree work in computer science-related disciplines.
2. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology/Bachelor of Science Honours in Information Technology:
The programme aims to provide interdisciplinary qualifications that enable students to compete successfully for numerous industrial positions requiring a strong foundation in mathematics, complemented by solid computing skills. It ensures that students possess both theoretical and practical knowledge of computer science, equipping them to earn a livelihood and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s economic development.
