Field Visit – Wildlife Conservation and Management
Level III students of the Department of Bio-science, Faculty of Applied Science, participated in a one-day field visit on the 10th of Jan 2025 to the Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka, as part of the course module Wildlife Conservation and Management (ENS3122). This field visit was intended to provide the experience of the functionality aspects of a national park and to enjoy the ecosystem services provided by them. In this field visit, the students took the full trip with the Jeep safari at the end to Kuthiraimalai. Also, the students observed diverse faunal species of avifauna, leopards, golden jackals, and others.
