Outstanding oral presentation at YSF Research Symposium 2025

Ms. W.A.D.T. Wanniarachchi (2018/ASB/57), a student of the Department of Bio-Science, University of Vavuniya, received the Merit Award for Outstanding Oral Presentation for her paper titled “Assessment of Aquatic Plants for Phytoremediation in Fish Tanks: Influence of Ammoniacal Nitrogen, Dissolved Oxygen, Temperature and pH on Water Quality.”

The presentation was made at the 13th YSF Research Symposium 2025, held on 24th January 2025 at the Metropolitan Campus, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), Colombo.

This particular output emerged as a byproduct of her undergraduate research project (ENS4226). The study was supervised by Mr. G. Naveendrakumar (Senior Lecturer, Department of Bio-Science, University of Vavuniya) internally.
