Call for Papers

ICAS 2026 invites the submission of high-quality original and innovative research papers which are not been published in all aspects of applied science domains. The submissions must not have been published and must not be under review or submitted for review elsewhere. Accepted papers, in their full versions, will be indexed in a Google Scholar- indexed digital research repository associated with the library of the University of Vavuniya. Selected extended versions of high-quality papers will be invited to publish in the Vavuniya Journal of Science (VJS), which is now available on Sri Lankan Journals Online SLJOL.

Submission Guidelines

Authors should use the given templates for their manuscript submission

⁠Full Papers / ⁠Extended Abstracts( Latex, Word )

Abstracts (350 Words) and Poster ( Latex, Word , Poster )

(Abstract should be submitted with the poster.)

Author Declaration Form

  • A Full paper should have 6 to 8 pages, including all the references and appendices.
  • Extended abstract should have 2 to 4 pages, including all the references.
  • Those who are willing to submit posters should submit an abstract.
  • Author names, affiliations and any other personally identifiable information should not present on your initial submission to support the double-blind review process. Manuscripts submitted without blinding any personally identifiable information will be desk-rejected without a review.
  • During the desk review process (before the formal double-blind review), the papers' scope and formatting will be checked. Papers having non-compliances, including the following, will be rejected.
  • Papers that have more pages than the conference guidelines.
  • Papers that do not fall within the scope of the conference.
  • Papers that do not follow proper formatting guidelines.
  • Papers that have a plagiarism score above 30%.
  • Follow the APA referencing style to prepare your manuscript
  • Authors of accepted papers should submit the camera-ready version using the provided templates, including author names and affiliations.

1. All paper submissions are through CMT . If you are a first-time CMT user, create an account using your official email.

2. Choose the most appropriate track.

3. Manuscript submission should only be in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF).

4. Contact us here , if you have any questions regarding your submission or if you experience any issues while submitting your manuscript.

5. Submit your auther declaration form with inital submission

6. Conference organizers encourage you to get prior clearances/ approvals from the respective organizations when an ethical clearance is needed for the paper’s content.

Empowering Undergraduate Research

Undergraduate students from Sri Lankan universities are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts to ICAS 2026.

As we continue the legacy of the Faculty Annual Research Session (FARS) of the Faculty of Applied Science, University of Vavuniya, we are pleased to announce the Annual Student Research Congress, now proudly continued with ICAS2026. This collaboration aims to provide a national platform for undergraduates to showcase their research, creativity, and innovative thinking.

Students are invited to submit research abstracts, and upon acceptance, will be requested to prepare posters for presentation during the conference. Selected posters will be specially recognized, and students may be eligible for travel assistance within Sri Lanka to attend the event. This is a unique opportunity for undergraduates to engage with academics, researchers, and professionals from diverse disciplines and institutions, contributing to a vibrant community of emerging scholars.

Peer Review Process

The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft, and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.
